Flamingo shallows and rhino country
A small park by Kenyan standards, and easily done in a day from Nairobi. The flamingo numbers rise and fall with the water level, so nobody can promise them.
The rhino, however, are reliable — both black and white.
When should I come?
The best months are shown on every destination card. In broad terms the dry seasons — January to February and June to October — are easiest, but the green season has fewer people, lower rates and better light.
How long do I need here?
Three nights is the minimum worth doing. Two nights means one full day, and travel days on either side.
Can I combine it with somewhere else?
